Hillary Kofsky | LCSW

Hillary is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and has experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, grief and loss, life transitions, self-esteem, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, dual-diagnosis and substance use disorders.

I understand we all have our mountains to climb in life and how everyone’s experiences uniquely shape how they respond to life’s challenges. I have extensive experience utilizing Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help client’s explore understanding of their emotions, life experiences, and ineffective behavioral patterns; and help develop practical skills to create meaningful change.

My compassionate and collaborative approach to therapy tailors treatment to each person’s individual needs, strengths and goals. I try to foster a safe and supportive therapeutic environment where clients can feel heard, understood and grounded.

“Painful feelings are, by their very nature, temporary. They will weaken over time as long as we don’t prolong or amplify them through resistance or avoidance. The only way to eventually free ourselves from debilitating pain, therefore, is to be with it as it is. The only way out is through.”- Kristin Neff
