Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy

What to expect

• Consultation & screening: goals, informed consent, medical review and eligibility, and safety planning.

• Preparation sessions: mindset, intentions, and skills for nervous system regulation. This period varies based upon history, assessment and goals.

• KAP sessions in the Keta+py program integrate a range of trauma-focused tools and techniques to support clients in processing material as it arises during session. Our approach prioritizes welcoming and processing all emotions, symbols, memories, awareness as the show up, with attunement and without judgment.

• Integration sessions: we work to anchor, deepen and broaden insights into daily practices and relationships.

• The Keta+py protocol is 8-12 sessions, with the frequency being determined by the assessment and treatment planning process.· Initial Assessment Phase and Eligibility: Participation in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) requires a clinical evaluation and medical screening to determine eligibility. There are several considerations in assessing the safety and potential efficacy of this treatment. Ensuring safety and preparedness is of utmost importance.

• Prescription & administration: Medication is only prescribed/overseen by licensed medical providers in accordance with state and federal regulations. We do not promote or sell medication. Both individual KAP and Group KAP Experiences are completed using sub-lingual self-administration of medication.

• Integration focus: Our approach to KAP emphasizes preparation and integration psychotherapy. No medication is administered in integration groups.

• No guarantees/medical claims: Responses vary. We do not claim cures or specific outcomes. KAP may not be appropriate for everyone.

Safety & Scope

• We follow trauma-informed, nervous-system aware pacing and collaborate with your care team when appropriate in both individual and group settings.

• Contraindications and risks are reviewed during screening; we coordinate referrals if sublingual KAP is not a fit. We will assist with resourcing other like-minded providers in your area if other Ketamine treatment options are recommended.

• Emergency care is not provided by this service; call 988 or 911 for crises.

• KAP is not an option for every client.
